Documents required for
Self-Employment Visa
University teachers and lecturers, translators, research scientists, who intend
to carry out payable research activity in Italian universities or manage academic duties. This visa type can be issued after permission (Nulla Osta) is issued upon the employer's demand.
The immigration department
(Lo Sportello Unico
per l`immigrazione)
sends the Employment Permission to the Diplomatic Representative office.

Visa application form

Two recent passport-size photos (3,5 x 4,5 cm).

- Signed passport, with expiry date at least three months later than planned visa duration. Passport should have at least 2 blank pages (for visa and stamps of custom authorities) and must be issued not earlier than 10 years ago (p. 12 of Code of Conduct). Extended passports will not be accepted, except for urgent humanitarian cases which can be proved.
- Originals of all valid international passports and expired passports in original and copies, in case applicant has them.
- Copy of internal passport.

A documentary proof of the available habitation that can
be submitted in the following ways:

A purchase or rental contract
·
A statement in accordance with article 2 and 4 of the Law #15 of 4.1.1968
·
A statement of an Italian citizen or a foreigner residing in Italy of giving an
accommodation that meets the minimal parameters provided by laws and regulations of the public housing construction.

Permission (Nulla Osta) of the competent Questura valid within 120 days
