Documents required for Self-Employment Visa

Partners of enterprises in Italy

1.       Visa application form

2.       Two recent passport-size photos (3,5 x 4,5 cm).

  • Signed passport, with expiry date at least three months later than planned visa duration. Passport should have at least 2 blank pages (for visa and stamps of custom authorities) and must be issued not earlier than 10 years ago (p. 12 of Code of Conduct). Extended passports will not be accepted, except for urgent humanitarian cases which can be proved.
  • Originals of all valid international passports and expired passports in original and copies, in case applicant has them.
  • Copy of internal passport.

4.       A certificate of registration of the company that legally acts for at least three years according to the enterprise registry.

5.       Declaration of the enterprise’s legal representative ensuring the partner compensation is higher than the minimum level provided by the legislation for exemption from participation in health services contributions (€8,400)

6.       Documents certifying that the income is sufficient to pay the compensation: (for limited companies - a copy of the latest financial report registered at the Business Registry, for companies and private businesses – a copy of the latest income declaration).

7.     A copy of the declaration of responsibility that is submitted by the enterprise’s legal representative to the Regional Employment Administration (Direzione Provinciale del Lavoro) and to the Labour Policy Service (Servizio Politiche del Lavoro) – that confirms that there are no subordination relations with the foreign citizen.

8.       A documentary proof of the available habitation that can be submitted in the following ways:

·         A purchase or rental contract

·         A statement in accordance with article 2 and 4 of the Law #15 of 4.1.1968

·         A statement of an Italian citizen or a foreigner residing in Italy of giving an accommodation that meets the minimal parameters provided by laws and regulations of the public housing construction.

9.       Permission “Nulla Osta” issued by the competent Questura and valid for 90 days.

  • The Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices reserves the right to demand any additional documents
  • All the documents of Ukrainian origin must be translated into Italian or English
